Capturing the Devil

Capturing the Devil Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Promise me to wake each day and find joy wherever you can, no matter how small it may be.

There will always be hard times and trying times and times for sorrow, but we won't let those days destroy the here and now.

Because right now? I'm here. And you're here. And the present is more glorious than the future and all of its unknowns.

When did you stop fighting?
When did it become easier to give in, just a little?
When did you become numb, even as a part of you died, over and over again?

He wished he didn't know.

The Last True Hero

The Last True Hero The Last True Hero by Bec McMaster
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

People sometimes find a kind of strength in hard situations that you'd never believe they owned.
Maybe she's never had to be fearless, because you were there beside her? Or maybe she knows that her sister would shift hell and high water to get her back?
Maybe that's her strength, right now, knowing that you're coming for her.

I'm so intrigued by Colton. This was good but I just can't wait for his story.

She needed someone to argue with. Someone who challenged her to stand at his side, not just step in front of her to protect her. Someone who pushed her to be the woman she knew she could be, not just the type of woman he wanted.

Puck winked at me. "I'm sure I'll see you again, whether you like it or not."

"Yeah," I deadpanned. "So looking forward to it."

Puck laughed again. "Don't you forget it. Until the next adventure kiddos."

Sticking his hands into his pockets, the Great Prankster sauntered off, whistling until he reached the edge of the trees and vanished into the shadows.

The first part of the series will always be my favorite but I loved this world and I'm glad I got the chance to be back in it. Ash, Puck and Meghan will forever be my babies..

And as Puck said: Until the next adventure kiddos.
